We designed this bathroom renovation for clients in a historic home in Halifax’s West End. Inspired by a traditional peacock tile, the clients wanted to capture that character in a fresh, contemporary way. We created a modern interpretation through the use of elegant fish-scale tile, adding texture and visual interest while keeping the space light and cohesive.
By expanding into an adjacent closet, we made room for both a soaker tub and a shower—key priorities for the homeowners. To preserve an open, airy feel, we placed the tub within the shower enclosure, maximizing both function and flow. The result is a bright, modern retreat that blends historic charm with thoughtful design.
