Herman Miller x HAY Eames Molded Plastic Armchair in Powder Pink
Herman Miller x HAY Eames Molded Plastic Armchair in Powder Pink
In a New Light— Herman Miller is built on a legacy of creative collaboration. In a first-of-its-kind collection, the Danish design brand HAY thoughtfully reimagines eight Eames classics. The collection presents a unique vision of colour, the evolution of conscious materials, and a beautifully interconnected story of design partnership.
Charles and Ray Eames adapted molding techniques developed during World War II to produce their classic shell chair's simple, gracious form. In 2001, continuing the Eames’ design ethos of continual, iterative advancements, Herman Miller reintroduced the original Eames Molded Shell Chair (1950) in a durable, 100 percent recyclable polypropylene. In 2022, they enhanced it once more by crafting it with 100 percent post-industrial recycled plastic. The subtle matte texture of the re-engineered plastic shell maintains the soft tactility of the original design, available in your choice of vintage and contemporary colours, with three leg materials and styles and levelling floor glides.
The classic shell silhouette is now offered in 6 new spirited colourways by Danish design house HAY, meant for endless interplay and combination. Shell and base are the same curated colour for a tonal effect.
