Rohde Easy Chair—the last piece Gilbert Rohde designed for Herman Miller in 1941—is a reflection of the art world at the time of its origin, pairing beautiful diamond-patterned tufting with an enveloping, organic form. Exceptionally comfortable, it’s a modernist masterpiece ripe for today.
This easy chair has a tufted seat cushion, with a smooth upholstered back. Internal cushion is high-resiliency foam with polyester fiber wrap, and the internal frame is rigid polyurethane foam. The chair offers a sit height of 17"", a depth of 22"", seat pitch of 7 degrees, and back pitch of 34 degrees. Rounded legs are fashioned from solid wood.
